Write, find, and follow channel conversations without losing their record links.
Send a clear message
Open the intended collaboration channel and Messages. Read recent context, then write the request or finding in the composer. Include the source record and the action expected from the recipient. Mention the intended member using the offered selector and inspect any attachment before sending.
Enter sends; Shift+Enter inserts a new line. Check the composer before pressing Enter. Confirm the message appears in the conversation after sending; a failed request or unsent draft is not a delivered message.
Follow a conversation
Use reply to preserve the relationship to an earlier message. Reactions acknowledge a message without recording an operational approval. Use search, pinned messages, and older-message loading to recover context. Open the source-record links in the current workspace and check that the target is the intended item.
Message actions depend on authorship and channel administration. Edit or delete only when the offered action applies, and verify the resulting message state. Pin significant context where permitted. Exporting the channel to PDF, when offered, creates an output of the conversation; it does not replace source-app evidence or audit records.
Turn follow-up into work
Use Create task from a message when it needs an owner and tracking. Review the task title, description, assignment, and due date. Keep the originating message linked, then follow progress in Tasks.
If you cannot write, check whether the channel is a notification feed, read-only, or your role is restricted. Do not use another channel to imply an approval you could not perform in the source application.
